The Department of Energy is seeking proposals for studies in the general area of fracture characterization and analysis in high-temperature (>150°C) environments typical of the Basin and Range tectonic province. Specific task areas of interest include:

  • Remote determination of fractures
  • Fracture mapping
  • Fracture formation and growths 
  • Fracture evolution
  • Fracture permeability
  • Fracture stimulation
  • Near-field permeability.
