Summary:

The U.S. Department of Energy Golden Field Office is seeking applications for Next Generation Steelmaking process concept definition studies and research in the specific process areas of integrated iron and steelmaking, electric arc steelmaking, and steel reheating. There can be up to two phases to the agreement. The energy savings benefits of the developed concepts must be realized in the steel manufacturing process, not in end-use applications.
