This announcement targets applied and pre-competitive research identified by industry as its highest priority as well as being aligned with the role of federal investments. Expected outcomes include developing technology and tools that have broad applicability for multiple chemicals and materials and technology that leads to implementation or use in larger biorefinery development efforts that the Office of the Biomass Program is planning to pursue.
