Summary:

The objective of this announcement is to increase domestic geothermal power generation by validating and publishing information on the economic and operating characteristics of improved technology for generation of electricity from a greater number of lower temperature geothermal resources than are currently considered commercially viable in the United States. To meet the above stated objectives, applications are sought to demonstrate technology for generation of electricity from a greater number of lower temperature geothermal resources and components and processes of the geothermal power plants that result in economical, reliable, and efficient electrical power generating systems for geothermal applications.
