State Geothermal Resource Maps
The Idaho National Laboratory Web site features geothermal resource maps for the following western states:
- Alaska
- Arizona
- California
- Colorado
- Hawaii
- Idaho
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Mexico
- Oregon
- Utah
- Washington
- Wyoming.
The maps provide various kinds of information, such as:
- Areas with potential for geothermal applications
- Areas with geothermal wells and springs
- Locations of specific geothermal applications—electrical generation, greenhouses, industrial, district heating, space heating, aquaculture, spas and resorts
- Land ownership of areas with geothermal resources.
