Geothermal Energy Association Honors NREL's Dr. Bharathan for Work in Condenser Technology

The Geothermal Energy Association (GEA) recently announced the finalists for the
GEA Honors, which recognizes companies and individuals that have made significant
contributions during the past year to advancing technology, spurring economic
development or protecting the environment.
The awards program, which is in its
second year, also gives special recognition to companies and individuals who
have otherwise made notable advancements and achievements for geothermal energy. Special recognition was given to Dr. Desikan Bharathan who established revolutionary condenser
technology that improved efficiency of geothermal energy production.
Dr. Bharathan is a principal engineer at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory
(NREL). He will receive his award during the GEA National Geothermal Summit Awards Dinner on August 7 in Sacramento, California.
