DOE Clean Cities and National Park Service Accepting Proposals for Transportation Projects

    March 3, 2011

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Clean Cities program and the U.S. Department of Interior's National Park Service (NPS) are accepting proposals for transportation-related projects that use renewable and alternative fuels, electric drive and advanced vehicles, and fuel-saving projects that reduce petroleum use and benefit air quality. As part of the demonstration, National Parks will work with local Clean Cities Coalitions to prepare project ideas focused on purchasing alternative fuel or advanced technology vehicles, installing alternative fueling infrastructure, and educating the public about the benefits of petroleum reduction. Visit the Clean Cities website to learn more about proposing new projects.
