DOE Announces High Temperature, Low Relative Humidity Polymer-Type Membrane Awards
January 24, 2006
DOE announced the selection of 12 competitively awarded, cost-shared projects for polymer membrane research. These projects will receive $19 million in federal funding over the next five years.
The goal of this research is to increase the durability and shelf life of polymer membranes, while simultaneously bringing down the cost. Polymer electrolyte membranes are an integral part of hydrogen fuel cells. Refer to the DOE press release for the list of awardees.
