Online Course Focuses on Hydrogen Safety for First Responders

DOE recently launched a new Web-based course that provides an introduction to hydrogen safety for first responders. This multimedia tutorial acquaints fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical personnel with hydrogen, its basic properties, and how it compares to other fuels; its use in fuel cells for transportation and stationary power; potential hazards; and initial protective actions should a responder witness an incident.
