U.S. Navy Announces Upcoming Request for Proposal for On Board Hydrogen Storage and Power Systems

The U.S. Navy announced an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) for on board hydrogen storage and power systems and will release the solicitation around January 15, 2009. The solicitation will be available on the Naval Surface Warefare Center, Crane Division Web site.

This RFP (N00164-10-R-GS53) is for basic/applied R&D to identify on board hydrogen storage materials, processes, and power system designs to significantly improve and extend the operating performance currently exhibited by state-of-the-art yard tractor utility vehicles.
