Energy Savings Assessments

With emphasis on reducing natural gas consumption, DOE provides American businesses, factories, and manufacturing facilities with on-site Energy Savings Assessments (ESAs). The purpose of these assessments is to identify immediate opportunities to save energy and money that will lead to significant long-term savings. Gold and silver stars represent facilities that have been recognized for their achievements in industrial energy savings. The following is a list of businesses that have all benefited from ITP assessments in Pennsylvania:

Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) Assessments

Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs) provide eligible small- and medium-sized manufacturers with no-cost, on-site energy assessments to identify potential savings opportunities. The following is a list of IAC training participants in Pennsylvania for the past two years. A complete collection of all the publicly available assessment and recommendation data is available at the ITP IAC database.

In order to meet the challenges of improving energy efficiency, the Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) helps to mitigate its industry partners' energy use. Both share the cost of research and development (R&D) projects while reaching the common goals of improving not only energy efficiency, but economic viability, energy security, environmental quality, and resource conservation.
