BestPractices User Paths

The BestPractices web site content is organized into four different user paths and three general paths. Each of the user paths contains information, links, publications, and references that a person fitting the description of the path would find most useful.

Answering the following questions will help you determine the most appropriate path to the information that meets your needs.

  1. Are you an end user?
An end-user is defined as an individual who works for a company that will implement the energy-saving ideas found on this site.

  2. If you are an end user, what is your role in the company?

Corporate executive – a primary decision maker in the company who wants to learn more about what other companies in your industry are doing to save energy.

Plant manager – in charge of implementing cost- and energy-saving measures in your plant, who will need to assess staff training needs and monitor and track progress.

Technical staff – an engineer or plant technician who works with equipment, devices and software that enable your company to save energy, or who is looking for documents and training to learn more about the technical aspects of energy efficiency?

  3. If you are not an end user, you work:

    As a consultant

    For a technology provider/supplier

For a State or local governrment

    For an association or NGO

For a community or public interest group

  4. You are a student or a member of the general public who has questions about what BestPractices does to help the environment and reduce nationwide energy consumption.

  5. If you are looking for more general information about BestPractices or would like to contact the program, schedule a plant assessment, attend training events, or just learn more about what BestPractices does, the three remaining categories contain that information and more.
