Updated State Incentives and Resources Database Web Site
The State Incentives and Resources Database on the State & Utilities Partnerships Web site has been upgraded and rereleased. The Web site now contains 2,751 entries where commercial and industrial managers interested in reducing the energy consumption of their businesses or facilities can access an online library of energy incentives, tools, and resources. The database features information on incentives available at the state, local, utility, and non-profit levels, including rebates, waived fees, tax credits, and loans. The site also offers such resources as analysis tools, education and training programs, and energy audits. More

EPA Aims to Limit Greenhouse Gas Regulations to Large Facilities
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles under the Clean Air Act, and that could trigger new regulations for a large number of greenhouse gas emitters. A proposed rule would limit those regulations to the largest emitters. More

EPA Finalizes Greenhouse Gas Reporting Requirements for Large Emitters
Only about 10,000 facilities throughout the United States will need to report their greenhouse gas emissions under a new system established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), but those facilities will account for about 85% of the nation's greenhouse gas emissions. More

Reports Find Huge Potential to Cut Energy Use in the United States
A recent research report from McKinsey & Company finds that the United States could reduce non-transportation energy use by 23% by 2020, avoiding 1.1 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions. A separate report examining tranportation finds the potential for similar cuts by 2050. More

DOE Offers $37 Million for Clean Energy Research at Small Businesses
