The Combustion Subprogram provides R&D cost-shared support for collaborative R&D on combustion systems to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance. Successful commercialization of enhanced combustion technologies can yield significant energy use and cost savings and can help meet strict environmental regulations.

The Combustion portfolio is currently composed of 4 active projects. In addition, the ITP has 12 completed projects, and numerous relevant projects.
