The Combustion Subprogram provides R&D cost-shared support for collaborative R&D on combustion systems to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance. Successful commercialization of enhanced combustion technologies can yield significant energy use and cost savings and can help meet strict environmental regulations.

The Combustion portfolio is currently composed of 1 active project. In addition, the Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) has completed 12 combustion projects, and numerous relevant projects.
