Tutorial: Screen Layout

The following illustration explains the different elements of the basic Quick PEP screens.

image showing layout of Quick PEP tool. Menu is in upper left of screen. Progress bar is in center of screen. Help section is on right side of screen. Data input area is in lower central section of screen.
Menu

The menu is a convenient way to move around Quick PEP. On any screen you may use the menu to move to a particular screen or step.

Progress Bar

The progress bar helps you keep track of where you are in the Quick PEP process and how far you have to go. You may also click on any of the numbers to go directly to that step.

Data Input

Every screen in Quick PEP has a place where you enter data from your plant.

Help Section

The help section of the screen will have information that helps you understand the screen that you are on and what information you need to enter. In addition some screens have a Guide Me button. Clicking this button will open a window with a short video that explains how to complete the current screen.

Navigation

Please keep the following in mind as you move through Quick PEP.

  • When navigating from field to field in a form, always use the TAB button instead of the ENTER button on your keyboard. Using the ENTER button may submit the form before you have finished completing it.
  • When navigating from page to page in Quick PEP always use the onscreen navigation buttons instead of the Forward and Back button in your web browser. Using the Forward and Back buttons can cause your browser to load pages from the cache on your computer instead of getting the page from the server.
