Inferential Process Control Workshop
The Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) sponsored this March 22 workshop to explore the path to achieving working inferential process control. The workshop brought together 17 experts from industry and research institutions to clarify the goals and challenges anticipated in developing an industry-usable inferential process control system. The group identified the main system components required to deploy a working system, outlined major research needs, and discussed a potential timeline for implementation.
