State Solicitations

The Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) issues solicitations and awards to fund collaborative partnerships at the local, state, and/or regional level that develop and deliver industrial energy efficiency programs. These localized industrial energy efficiency programs are modeled after SEN efforts, and aim to identify innovative and creative means to implement efficiency programs. The projects contribute to the ITP goal of reducing industrial energy intensity 25% in 10 years.

In addition to ITP-issued solicitations and awards, other DOE programs offer funding opportunities for states and industry. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides several opportunites for states and industry to improve their energy efficiency with the assistance of federal funds. Learn more about these opportunities under State Energy Program Opportunities for Industry below.

Active Solicitations

The active solicitations table on the main ITP Web site lists cost-sharing opportunities that meet the efficiency improvement needs of your business. All open solicitations are listed.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provides funding opportunities for states and industry to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. To learn more about these opportunities and awards, visit:

State Energy Program Opportunities for Industry

Several states have been awarded ARRA funding for the implementation of State Energy Programs that help promote energy efficiency and clean energy deployment, as well as to support local economic recovery. State Energy Program (SEP) funds will be awarded in phases, with each awarded state initally receiving 40% of the total authorized funds. Some states have included funding opportunities for local industry in their State Energy Plans:
