About Utility Partnerships
Utilities are local energy experts and understand their customers' needs better than anyone. Because of this, DOE has identified utility companies as key partners for ITP to work with in order to expand the reach of its programs. ITP and utilities share the common goals of energy and environmental improvements while sustaining the economic health of the industrial manufacturing sector. Protecting the manufacturing sector ensures economic health for future generations at both the local and national levels.
Partnership between ITP and utilities allows for a free flow of information and resources. Utilities will have access to the wealth of information, tools, and resources ITP and DOE have compiled over decades of research. In turn, ITP will gain access to the unique and effective communication channels that utilities have with their customers. This partnership seeks to maximize the resources available for utilities, energy customers, and ITP.
