Demand Response Webcast Available

September 10, 2008

On July 31, 2008, DOE held a Demand Response Webcast to discuss opportunities for industrial facilities to earn a revenue stream as a demand source. Presenter Laurie Wiegand-Jackson, President of North America Power Partners, focused on current issues driving the development of demand response across the United States including:

• Energy cost, reliability, sustainability, and carbon emission reductions
• Demand response as a wholesale market
• Developing a facility as a demand resource
• Measurement and verification requirements.
