    Superior Energy Performance: Orientation for Prospective Verification Bodies

    This webinar will provide an orientation for prospective Verification Bodies for Superior Energy Performance. Superior Energy Performance is a facility-level certification program that provides industrial and commercial organizations with a roadmap for achieving continual improvement in energy performance. The program provides a transparent system for verifying energy performance improvements and energy management practices that conforms to internationally accepted standards and practices. Facilities must conform to the ISO 50001 energy management system standard and demonstrate an energy performance improvement established by the Superior Energy Performance program. Superior Energy Performance-Industry is currently in the demonstration phase in 35 industrial facilities across the U.S. It is anticipated that Superior Energy Performance-Industry will launch nationally in late 2012 to be followed by Superior Energy Performance-Commercial Buildings.

    Verification Bodies for Superior Energy Performance will be accredited jointly by ANAB and ANSI. This webinar is targeted to organizations who are interested in seeking to become Superior Energy Performance Verification Bodies and thus be qualified to certify facilities for conformance with ISO 50001 and verify that these facilities meet additional Superior Energy Performance requirements. Representatives from these organizations are strongly encouraged to attend this webinar to learn about the accreditation process and key dates for trainings and exams to qualify personnel for Superior Energy Performance Lead Auditor and Performance Verifier training/exams.

    Please Note: The main webinar will run from 2-3:00 PM EDT. There will be an optional 30 minutes from 3:00-3:30 PM EDT for attendees to learn more about the rationale for the audit day tables for MSE 50028, Verification Bodies for Superior Energy Performance will be required to conform to the MSE 50028 standard, once released. MSE 50028 will specify the principles and requirements for bodies that undertake verification of energy performance and energy management systems. ANSI/ANAB will use MSE 50028 to accredit Verification Bodies for Superior Energy Performance.
