The inter-agency Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office (AMNPO) announces the fourth in a series of public workshops entitled "Designing for Impact: Workshop on Building the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation." This workshop series provides a forum for the advanced manufacturing community to learn more about AMPNPO, and for the NPO staff to introduce the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) and the Network's regional components, the Institutes for Manufacturing Innovation (IMIs). The workshop discussion will cover: Technologies with Broad Impact, Institute Structure and Governance, Strategies for Sustainable Institute Operations, and Education and Workforce Development.

Input gathered during this and other 'Designing for Impact' workshops, and received in response to the Request for Information (RFI) published in the Federal RegisterPDF on May 4, 2012, will help to shape the vision, goals, and organization for both the Network and the individual IMIs.

Registration and further information on this workshop and the NNMI can be found at: http://manufacturing.gov/event_101812.html.

Registration is limited and there is a limit of no more than 4 individuals per organization.
