RFI Deadline Extended to October 1, 2007

Be part of the solution! DOE has released a new Request for Information (RFI) to gather comments for use in developing voluntary agreements to reduce industrial energy intensity, and needs your input! The deadline for comments has been extended to 8:00 PM EST on October 1, 2007.

Section 106 of EPAct authorizes DOE to engage in voluntary agreements with industry partners to meet the goal of reducing industrial energy intensity 25% by 2017 (not less than 2.5% each year from 2007 through 2016). Through this new RFI, DOE is requesting input from the industrial community on how best to reach this goal.
