New Report Highlights ITP's Commercial and Emerging Technologies

    Since inception, ITP and its industry partners have produced more than 220 successfully commercialized technologies that are boosting productivity, reducing energy use and environmental impacts, and enhancing economic competitiveness of U.S. industry. Forty-two of these technologies have also earned prestigious R&D 100 awards. ITP's new report, Energy Technology Solutions: Public/Private Partnerships Transforming Industry (PDF 3.7 MB) highlights the technologies now commercially available and those expected to reach the marketplace within the next three years. In addition, the report provides a list of technical resources to help industry partners identify opportunities for process improvements that will save energy.

By offering open, competitive solicitations, ITP provides cost-shared funding to assist industry partners in identifying, researching and developing energy-efficient technologies and systems. Through its alliances with industry, states, manufacturing associations, and other organizations, ITP is committed to building a strong community dedicated to finding solutions for the energy challenges facing the nation.

    Through its diverse R&D portfolio and technical assistance to U.S. manufacturing facilities, ITP has helped save nearly 5 quadrillion Btu of energy, equivalent to 86 million metric tons of carbon emissions.
