OIT Times: Awards Presented to Continuous Fiber Ceramic Composites (CFCC) Program

The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) recently presented awards to two Continuous Fiber Ceramic Composites (CFCC) Program participants. Michael Jenkins of the Univ. of Washington and Edgar Lara-Curzio of Oak Ridge National Lab each received an Award of Appreciation for continued work to develop new test standards for ceramic compositesď–ˇ process essential for the acceptance and use of new materials in industrial applications. Because of their ongoing efforts and dedication, nine new test standards for CFCCs have been assured.
