Allied Partnerships provide opportunities for industrial partners to build awareness of OIT's Industries of the Future program; broaden, strengthen, and support partnership networks; leverage program development and deployment through cooperative activities; and promote applications of OIT-sponsored technologies and energy management best practices. Specific activities to be undertaken as part o the ICI/OIT Allied Partnership include:
- Participation in the development and dissemination of information, tools and resources
- Promotion of OIT solicitations
- Assistance in the commercialization of emerging technologies, and
- Partnership in workshops, seminars, and similar events.
The mission of ICI is to accelerate the acceptance of new gas-fueled technologies that enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the industrial sector. ICI and its members identify, evaluate, and prioritize new market opportunities and then coordinate market development programs to help ensure that successful R&D projects are widely commercialized. ICI funds, facilitates, and manages on-site technology demonstrations hosted by industrial end-users. Additionally, ICI creates marketing materials, case studies, training manuals, decision analysis software, and other products designed to facilitate the promotion and application of these new technologies.
