Abitibi Consolidated and OIT Hosting Plant Systems Training

OIT's Forest Products and BestPractices teams and Abitibi Consolidated Company are holding energy management training at Abitibi Consolidated's Augusta, GA, newsprint plant this week, October 9-11. The trainings are in support of a scheduled Technology Showcase to be held at the newsprint plant in March 2002.

The training includes three, one-day sessions on pumps, steam, and compressed air systems. All Abitibi mills have been invited to attend the training. In addition, Abitibi has invited staff from Kimberly-Clark Corp., Deerfield Specialty Papers, and International Paper to attend. It is anticipated that as many as 60 industry staff may attend the training sponsored by OIT.
