Ohio Technology Showcase in September Will Highlight Energy- and Cost-Saving Technologies and Practices

Industry stakeholders will have a unique opportunity to see energy-efficient technologies and best practices in action at the Ohio Technology Showcase, to be held September 27-29, 2005, at the Sheraton City Center in Cleveland. Along with tours of actual plants, the showcase will feature training sessions and discussions about how to increase a plant's energy efficiency, save money, and reduce emissions.  

Plant managers, utility and environmental engineers, technology experts, equipment suppliers, researchers, and representatives of federal, state, and local governments—these are just some of the professionals who will be able to share their experiences and expertise.  

The showcase will demonstrate how to improve the performance of many types of plants, including aluminum, polymers and plastics, steel, forging, glass, and metal casting. Technology sessions will include discussions of state-of-the-art equipment and how it can be used today. Training in best practices and software tools will demonstrate how to identify and incorporate more energy-saving products and practices into a plant's operations to save money as well as reduce emissions.  

During the plant tours, attendees will be able to see the latest energy-efficient technologies used in Ohio plants and talk with operators, developers, and researchers. Exhibits will feature vendors and suppliers of the latest energy-management and manufacturing technologies. Attendees will also hear about opportunities for federal and state funding of energy efficiency and R&D projects.
