DOE Conducts Energy Assessment at Auto Wheel Plant in Arkansas

    DOE announced on February 14th that a three-day industrial Energy Saving Assessment will take place at the Superior Industries International Inc. facility in Fayetteville, Arkansas, as part of the comprehensive national energy efficiency effort being undertaken by the Bush administration. Superior Industries supplies aluminum wheels and other aluminum components to the automotive industry. Through no-cost assessments, DOE is working with major manufacturing facilities to identify opportunities to save energy and money, primarily by focusing on steam and process heating systems.
