Steam System Assessment Tool Not Operable in Windows Vista and Excel 2007

The U.S. Department of Energy's Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) has discovered that its Steam System Assessment Tool (SSAT) software is not compatible with Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system and Excel when used in with Office 2007. This incompatibility prevents the tool from operating. However, SSAT will continue to operate successfully on older versions of Microsoft Windows and Excel programs. ITP is working to resolve this and will provide more information about an updated version of SSAT as available.

SSAT is part of ITP's suite of software tools to help industrial manufacturers analyze energy system savings opportunities in their plants.
