Federal-State Activities Highlighted in New Issue of Energy Matters

October 16, 2007

If you’ve been wondering about industrial energy efficiency activities in your area, or how your state benefits from working with the U.S. Department of Energy's Industrial Technologies Program (ITP), be sure to check out the Fall 2007 issue of Energy Matters, ITP’s BestPractices online quarterly. This issue highlights ITP and state programs, partnerships, and activities that focus specifically on increasing industrial energy efficiency.

For example, you can access a new ITP state activities Web site that describes many opportunities for states to reduce their energy use by obtaining assistance from energy experts, requesting and conducting plant energy assessments, and signing up for free training sessions in the use of ITP software assessment tools.

The latest issue also includes 10 tips for reducing steam and process heating energy consumption, information about new wireless sensor technologies, and an article describing how one wastewater treatment plant found good ways to be more energy-efficient. For details, see the full issue.
