DOE Solicits Plant-Wide, Energy Efficiency Assessments From "Industries of the Future"

The Department of Energy's Office of Industrial Technologies (OIT) is seeking proposals from industrial manufacturing companies for plant-wide energy assessments, which promote energy efficiency and productivity, and reduced waste and pollution. The solicitation is specifically seeking effective strategies from private industries that are considering adopting best practices, and advanced technologies and processes. Priority will be given to proposals submitted from OIT's Industries of the Future: Forest Products, Chemicals, Petroleum, Steel, Aluminum, Metalcasting, Glass, Mining, and Agriculture. Funding of up to $75,000 is available for each project selected (an industrial cost share of at least 50% is highly recommended).
