IAC Special Projects Announced
January 14, 2002
The IAC program has chosen to fund eight special industrial efficiency projects proposed by participating IAC universities. Each of the 26 IACs were offered an opportunity, on a competitive basis, to conduct a special project. Twenty-seven proposed projects from 17 IACs were submitted for consideration. A selection panel composed of IAC directors evaluated the proposals. Eight projects were selected from eight different IACs.
The IAC special projects provide participating institutions an opportunity to perform work that compliments OIT's R&D activities, student projects on industrial efficiency, and regional initiatives that support DOE objectives. Projects are managed primarily by members of the IAC management team and tasks are primarily performed by personal involved with the IAC. The following is a table documenting the grants which totaled $280,113.
