Jacques Beaudry-Losique Joins DOE to Manage Industrial Technologies Program

On June 27, 2005, Jacques Beaudry-Losique joined DOE to serve as the Program Manager for the Industrial Technologies Program. As Program Manager, Mr. Beaudry-Losique will lead DOE's efforts to achieve significant energy savings in industrial manufacturing. He will oversee the program's budget, personnel, and research efforts. Mr. Beaudry-Losique replaces David Rodgers, who served as Acting Program Manager.
"My primary objective is to build on the previous ITP successes to help our partners migrate to a new generation of energy efficient production capabilities," said Mr. Beaudry-Losique.
Mr. Beaudry-Losique brings extensive energy and manufacturing industry experience in roles such as executive management, business development, financial management, strategic planning, commercial negotiations, and supply chain management. Most recently, he served as an executive level management consultant to many leading edge technology companies. Previously he served as the business development leader of General Electric Power Systems' investment activities where he was responsible for investing into and managing a portfolio of dozens of strategic technology companies. Prior to this, he worked to develop growth strategies and improve business processes for Aspen Technology, a leading global engineering and supply chain software player. He also has many years of experience as a management consultant with McKinsey and Company.
Mr. Beaudry-Losique holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Montreal and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University. As a recipient of a Canadian Science Foundation Fellowship, he attended the MIT Sloan School of Management where he received a master's degree in management.
