DOE-Industrial Technologies Program's Forest Products Peer Review to be held on April 5-6, 2006
January 27, 2006
Join the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) on April 5 and 6 to review the goals, objectives, and strategy of ITP's Forest Products portfolio at the Forest Products Peer Review in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to presenting the forest products strategy, experts will give in-depth presentations on technologies under development in ITP's forest products portfolio to bring industry stakeholders up to speed on current ITP research.
The Department of Energy's (DOE) Industrial Technology Program (ITP) supports a diverse portfolio of cost-shared, pre-competitive research projects that focus on reducing the forest products industry's energy intensity. The Forest Products Peer Review is designed to generate feedback on ITP's individual forest products projects and the overall balance and performance of the portfolio.
The principal investigators (PIs) from each active ITP forest products project will present their work in two concurrent sessions, and will also be available for questions and networking in a poster session. ITP selected peer reviewers will be evaluating these projects and the overall portfolio strategy. These reviewers will be retired industry experts selected from recommendations by the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA), TAPPI, and other industry representatives.
Forest products industry stakeholders are encouraged to attend this Peer Review. For more information on the agenda and to register, please go to: FY06 Forest Products Peer Review.
