February 13, 2006
DOE announced on February 13th that a three-day industrial Energy Saving Assessment will take place at the Lubrizol Corporation facility in Deer Park, Texas, as part of the comprehensive national energy efficiency effort being undertaken by the Bush administration. Through no-cost assessments, DOE is working with major manufacturing facilities to identify opportunities to save energy and money, primarily by focusing on steam and process heating systems.
The Lubrizol Corporation is a specialty chemical company that produces and supplies technologies that improve the quality and performance of products in global transportation, industrial, and consumer markets. Lubrizol's Deer Park facility manufactures industrial lubricants, engine oil additives, fuel additives, and other transportation-related fluids. Deer Park is Lubrizol's largest plant and the largest additive manufacturing facility in the world. See the DOE press release.
