Industrial Gasification Assessment Workshop to be held February 28th in Northern Virginia
February 22, 2006
The DOE Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) is seeking industry input on the use of gasifiers, which might one day supplant natural gas as the preferred industrial fuel. DOE seeks to better understand the technical challenges and market opportunities for industrial gasification.
This event is the first in a series of workshops to shape DOE's efforts to assist industry in the development and deployment of gasification technologies for industrial applications, including the most immediate opportunities, and the development of a technology roadmap for longer term planning.
Download the workshop announcement (PDF 61 KB) to learn more. The one-day workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28th, in the Tyson's Corner area of Northern Virginia. ITP's industrial stakeholders and partners are encouraged to attend this workshop to ensure that industry's broad interests are represented. The workshop will provide an opportunity to network with industry peers and government representatives, exchange opinions with experts on the direction of the industry, and play a role in shaping a new federal initiative.
The workshop will be in the Fairfax Ballroom of the Courtyard Marriott – Tyson's Corner/Fairfax. Please RSVP to Craig Sutton at sutton_craig@bah.com. Please feel free to forward this to other industry representatives that may have an interest.
