Advanced Manufacturing Office – State and Regional Partnerships
In order to reduce industrial energy intensity and use, the Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) is forming partnerships with states, utilities, vendors, suppliers, trade associations and other stakeholders. The partnerships serve to increase ITP's reach to industry and drive energy efficiency investments throughout the industrial sector. The ITP Partnerships Fact Sheet (July 2011) summarizes activities that are currently being undertaken in order to build a supportive market environment and establish lasting local infrastructure for continuous energy improvement.
Save Energy Now State and Regional Partnerships are aimed at creating a value-added chain of stakeholders who share common goals for energy and environmental improvements, while sustaining the economic health of U.S. industries. State and Regional Partnerships provide:
- Increased outreach to more industrial facilities
- Expanded access to ITP tools, resources, and technical assistance
- Transfer of energy-efficient technologies to the market
- Reduction of energy use and carbon emissions
