Technical Assistance Activities
Reduce energy costs and get the most out of existing manufacturing facilities by using AMO's resources. Learn how to improve energy efficiency by selecting state-of-the-art technology and adopting energy management best practices.
Tools and training in the Energy Resource Center are available to help companies of all sizes identify energy saving projects and chart a path toward continual energy improvement. Implement projects with the help of product and service providers, financial incentives, and other information. Work toward conformance to the ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard to continuously improve your energy management program and energy performance.
Corporations can gain recognition for leadership in manufacturing energy efficiency by participating in the Better Plants Program and the Better Plants Challenge. Plants can implement the ISO 50001 and achieve verifiable improvements in energy performance and management with the Superior Energy Performance program's proven methodology.
Our state and utility partnerships are building a lasting local infrastructure to help manufacturers save energy. The Industrial Assessment Centers are providing hands-on training for students while providing assessments to small- and medium-sized manufacturers. In addition, the Clean Energy Application Centers are helping organizations understand the cost savings and other benefits from CHP, waste heat recovery, and district energy technologies.
