U.S. Department of Energy - Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
Advanced Manufacturing Office – Utility Partnerships
About Utility Partnerships
The Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) recognizes that utilities are local energy experts and understand their customers' needs better than anyone. ITP taps into this expertise by working in partnership with utility companies to increase industrial energy efficiency, improve sustainability along the supply chain, and stimulate economic growth in the U.S. manufacturing sector.
Partnership between ITP and utilities fosters a valuable flow of information and resources. Utilities gain access to a wealth of information, tools, and resources that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has assembled over decades of research. In turn, ITP gains access to the effective communication channels that utilities have established with their customers. This partnership seeks to maximize the resources available to utilities, energy customers, and ITP.
