Minh Le
Acting Director and Chief Engineer, Solar Energy Technologies Office
Minh Le is the Acting Director and Chief Engineer of the Solar Energy Technologies Office in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where he helps manage and balance the portfolio of research, development, demonstration, and deployment programs to achieve the goals of the SunShot Initiative. The DOE SunShot Initiative is a collaborative national initiative to make solar energy technologies cost-competitive with other forms of energy by reducing the cost of solar energy systems by approximately 75% before 2020.
Prior to his current role at the DOE, Minh spent his career in the semiconductor and solar industry developing technologies and scaling new technologies to high-volume manufacturing.
Mr. Lee earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he held fellowships from DOE, the Department of Defense, and the Bose Foundation.
