This opportunity supports long-term research activities and near-term demonstration in developing advanced heat transfer fluids and novel thermal storage concepts for concentrating solar power (CSP) generation. The collaborative public-private partnerships established work to reduce the nominal-levelized cost of energy of CSP power plants.
