The 2008 Program Review Meeting was held, April 22-24, in Austin, Texas.

The Solar Energy Technologies Program (SETP or Solar Program) held its Annual Program Review Meeting in April to report on research and development (R&D) activities. The federal Solar Program meeting was held in Austin, Texas, which is a Solar America City.

SETP managers and meeting participants discussed projects funded by DOE in Fiscal Year 2007 and related developments.

In addition, SETP program managers:

  • Discussed the SETP portfolio of R&D, technical evaluation, and market transformation activities.
  • Evaluated the technology roadmaps used to direct SETP activities during this period of rapid growth in the solar industry.
  • Provided a forum for program staff, national laboratory teams, and industry partners to exchange ideas that will improve SETP activities and will benefit the solar industry.

The next meeting is planned for January 2009.
