The following workshops were used to:
- Propose research and development and market transformation activities by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Program
- Solicit feedback from participants for funding opportunities for the Solar America Initiative
- Provide workshop participants the opportunity to interact with DOE, as well as with each other.
