Solar America Initiative market transformation activities involving states aim to reduce market barriers for solar energy technologies. The focus is on non-R&D activities such as state and local codes and standards, interconnection, and net-metering issues.
Project Description:
Identify and promote efforts by the relevant state-level decision makers to accelerate the adoption of solar energy technologies within their states.

Goals:
Improve the quality of information and resources available to state decision-makers on solar technologies and policies.
Awardees:
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) selected the following organizations to offer solar technical assistance to states. These organizations will provide resources and best practices to address solar issues faced by states.
- Clean Energy Group (CEG)
- National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC)
- National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL)
- Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC)
