DOE Supports Earth Week with Energy Saving Tips Feature
April 22, 2009
For the week of Earth Week, the DOE Web site is showing a special Web feature on its home page that includes key energy saving tips and user-friendly information about technologies and initiatives that are helping develop the nation's clean energy economy. This feature explains simple steps that consumers can take to make more informed energy decisions, save money on their monthly bills, become more energy efficient, and protect the environment. It also includes information on Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and more. In addition, the feature also describes DOE's research and initiatives for energy and energy efficiency technologies, and illustrates the Obama administration's commitment to investing in the United States' green economy. See the DOE press release and the animation on the DOE Web site.
