Lushetsky Named Solar Program Manager

John Lushetsky joins the DOE's Office of Energy Efficiciency and Renewable Energy as the manager of the Solar Energy Technologies Program. His appointment was effective June 9, 2008.
Lushetsky has more than 20 years experience in technology development and commercialization, and he is responsible for overseeing all solar technology development, integration, and market transformation activities for the Solar Program.
Previously, Lushetsky was with Corning, Inc., where he held a number of positions in strategic marketing and business development. He was responsible for identifying and developing new strategic business opportunities in photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies. Prior to Corning, he was with Electrosource, Inc., developing an advanced battery technology for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Lushetsky holds an M.B.A. in International Business from George Washington University and an M.S. and B.S. with high honors in Engineering Science from the University of Florida.
