Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) Training
Live
Webinar from Washington, DC
November
14, 2012 - 1:00-5:00PM EST
The Sustainability Performance
Office (SPO) is sponsoring a live, web-based training focusing on DOE-specific
issues related to the successful award of ESPCs. The half-day training is open only to DOE
Federal staff and DOE M&O contractors, as well as others who obtain the
approval of a DOE sponsor.
ESPCs allow Federal agencies to
accomplish energy savings projects without up-front capital costs or specific
appropriations. An ESPC is a partnership between a Federal agency and an energy
service company (ESCO). For additional information please visit http://www1.eere.energy.gov/femp/financing/espcs.html.
This training aims to help you obtain the information and tools needed to ensure that ESPCs are tailored to the needs and unique circumstances found at DOE sites. It will cover the most recent program updates, streamlining tools, procurement approval processes, and lessons learned for carrying out projects at highly secure sites. Instruction and lessons learned from a former NNSA Contracting Officer with extensive background in the award and administration of ESPCs is included.
Please RSVP to sustainability@hq.doe.gov.
