2013 Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation Meeting Each year, the Annual Merit Review provides a forum for evaluation and discussion of the Vehicle Technologies Office's projects. Reviewers evaluate the projects' contributions to the program's mission and goals and take into account the breadth, depth, appropriateness, accomplishments, and potential of these activities. Based on these criteria, reviewers provide numeric scores and meaningful comments to create a comprehensive project report card. The recommendations from the reviewers are taken into consideration by DOE in generating future work plans.
