New Hybrids Getting Better Fuel Economy
The model year (MY) 2004 Toyota Prius, which will arrive in dealer showrooms this fall, has a combined EPA fuel economy rating of 55 miles per gallon (mpg), which is 7 mpg higher than the MY 2003 Prius. The new Prius, which is classified as a midsize car, is also larger than the older model, with increased height, width, length, wheelbase, and weight.
